Biography:
Karen graduated with a degree in Engineering Mechanics from Michigan State in 2003. Upon graduation she took a role as a Sales Technician for Linde Gas LLC, which was a sales role, and consisted of finding value added solutions for customers on bulk cryogenic gas, welding, specialty gases, and other products. As part of her role, her company provided training on many of the technical aspects in this industry, including welding, and Karen went on to become a Certified Welding Inspector in 2006. In 2007 her company was in part acquired by Airgas, Inc, and shortly after the buyout Karen took a role as a Radnor Product Manager, which consisted of managing and growing the sales of Airgas’ privately labeled products in WI, MN, IL, IA, and parts of SD, ND, NE and IN. In 2008 Regional Automation Technician was added to Karen’s responsibilities for the same area, which consisted of managing and growing the business in the areas of Robotic Welding, Mechanized Cutting Tables, and similar products. Karen also became Chairperson of the American Welding Society Milwaukee Section in 2008. In 2010 Karen took a different role, going back to her more technical roots, as a Weld Process Specialist, providing technical solutions to customers, as a value added solution. She became a Certified Welding Supervisor and a Certified Robotic Arc Welding Technician in 2011, and is also a Wisconsin Weld Test Conductor.
