Biography:
Captain Jen Román is a fire/EMS professional with the City of Madison, who began her career as a volunteer EMT. She currently manages the EMS Division and loves the fact that every day at work is different! She is part-time faculty for Madison College in the Human and Protective Services School and earned her graduate degree from UW-Madison in Adult and Continuing Education. Captain Román founded CampHERO, an experience that introduces girls to the protective services. She is proud of her family, loves to read and has a passion for chocolate! Jen has been an active Girl Scout for over 27 year and host parent for eleven different exchange students! In her spare time she loves to compete in triathlons and distance running.
