Biography:
Joan Kozisek grew up in western Colorado where she developed her interest in the environment and natural surroundings. After traveling the world, mostly by bicycle, she graduated from UW Oshkosh with a Bachelor’s degree in hydro-geology. She began her professional career doing groundwater studies, contamination investigations, and soil and groundwater remediation. Joan’s interest and knowledge in natural sciences allowed her to expand her career into other natural resource fields including wetlands, and biological science. In 2003, Joan joined American Transmission Company as an Environmental Project Manager and has advance to Team Leader. In her role at ATC she is able to use her education, experience and love of natural resources to make a positive difference in how private businesses preserve and enhance natural resources, while ensuring successful business operations. Joan is married and lives with her husband, Steve Kelley on the Kelley family farm in Fond du Lac, County where they have restored over 5 acres of wetland and prairie environments, and have planted over 3,000 trees.
