Biography:
Karen is a senior tax manager with Clifton Gunderson, the 14th largest CPA firm in the country. Specializing in estate and trust planning along with individual taxation, Karen helps clients in many different industries with complex tax planning issues. She holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville and began her career with Clifton Gunderson in 1988 through an internship. Karen has worked in public accounting throughout the US. She relocated back to Madison and Clifton Gunderson seven years ago. She has been active in all aspects of public accounting including recruiting, training and mentoring of staff. Karen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In her spare time, Karen volunteers for the Dane County Humane Society and is an active outdoors-woman.

Description:
Certified Public Accountants have many roles and jobs and many CPA’s perform a variety of duties which many of us do not always know about or see.
