David Vrieze began his career as an advertising Art Director. He served five years as Director of Advertising and Public Relations with Minnesota Life (now Securian) and then joined the direct marketing subsidiary of Alexander & Alexander, Paul Burke & Associates (PBA). His career with Alexander & Alexander spanned 23 years in various positions; from running the global advertising functions at Alexander & Alexander's New York headquarters to managing the affinity group sales operations of 22 offices across the country to his role as President of PBA. Following the sale of PBA, he was asked to join the purchasing company, Direct Response Insurance Administrative Services, Inc. as its Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Following that, he spent 10 years with IQ Marketing as its Chief Operating Officer and Chief Creative Officer. His accomplishments within the mass marketing industry were also recognized in his presidency of the Professional Insurance Marketing Association. In addition to his financial services marketing and management successes, David is highly regarded for his expertise in new company and new product launches and branding in the manufacturing and service industries. Presently, David serves on the Board of Directors of BestPrep, the organization devoted to preparing high school students with business and financial literacy skills. He is a recipient of that organization’s Bunzel Award for volunteerism. In addition, he is the former chair and a current member of the Business Advisory Board for the St. Paul Public School System.
