Tim Sweeney is president and co-owner of Sweeney Construction, a Madison area company specializing in home and commercial remodeling. Sweeney Construction has been a staple in the Madison construction industry since 1954 and is recognized in the remodeling industry for its innovation and leadership. Sweeney oversees a staff of highly skilled tradespeople, from Master Carpenters and architectural designers, to project managers and painters. During the summers as a youth, Tim worked with his father learning the basics of the construction industry and what it took to be successful in the trade. He learned that there are two components: first, it was important to know how to properly construct buildings in a craftsmen like fashion, and more importantly, how to work with clients in their most sacred place - their home. Tim is an award winning Certified Remodeler and is past president and board member of NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry). Tim is also involved with advising students of the building trades through high school and the technical college programs.
Whether it’s building things from the ground up or reworking existing structures, the construction trades provide careers that are truly hands-on. As the head of a well-established design and remodeling business, Tim Sweeney provides insight on the variety of skilled trades that are needed for those who want to become a builder, remodeler and everything in-between.
