Jodi Goldbeck is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and has been a full-time Instructor in the Meeting and Event Management Degree Program at Madison College for 6 ½ years. The Madison College program is the first Associate Degree program in meeting and event management in the United States. She also serves as the Internship Coordinator for the department. Prior to her position at Madison College, Jodi was employed for 10 years as the Director of Conference Services at the Fluno Center for Executive Education, a professional, state-of-the-art conference center located on the campus of UW-Madison. In her role at the Fluno Center, she was responsible for managing a department that planned meetings and special events for groups from 5 to 500. Jodi earned her Master's Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology & Business. Before receiving her Master's Degree, she worked at a U.S. Olympic Training Center planning and organizing sporting events throughout the state of Michigan. Additionally, from 2001 through 2008, Jodi taught part-time at Madison College in the Meeting and Event Management Program and also in the Business Technology Department Jodi received her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification in August of 2004. She is a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Wisconsin and has served on the Board of Directors as the Director of Special Events (2010-2011), Director of Publications, Advertising & Community Outreach (2011-2013) and most recently as the Vice President of Communications (2013-2015). Jodi has received the Industry Advocate Award and was inducted into the MPI-Wisconsin Hall of Fame in 2014. She has also continues to facilitate several CMP Prep Days throughout the state and serves as the lead of the student liaison committee for MPI-Wisconsin.
