Before starting her practice as an Independent Educational Consultant, Brenda Ward enjoyed more than 30 years in public education at Verona Area and Beaver Dam Unified School Districts. As a teacher and counselor, she focuses on preparing young adults for college and careers. She has also worked in higher education with the UW-Madison Publications Office and the Office of Educational Portfolios & Career Services in the School of Education. She has been named Outstanding Professional of the Year by the Wisconsin Association of College Admission Counselors, representative to ACT’s Wisconsin Executive Council, delegate to the UW-System Competency-Based Admission Steering Committee and representative to the WISCareers Advisory Council. She is a licensed Global Career Facilitator and a member of the National Association of College Admission Counselors, Independent Educational Consultants Association (Associate Member) and National Career Development Association. Brenda holds a BS in Journalism from the University of Illinois, received her Teacher Licensure – Secondary English from Northern Illinois University and earned her MS in Counselor Education from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
